Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY SKOWRONSKI December 13, 1930- October 4, 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Saturday, October 4, 2003. He was born and raised in Fort Frances, ON, and moved to Winnipeg in 1967. He worked for several GM dealerships over the years as well as for Canadian Tire, the position from which he retired. Stan had a great sense of humour and always had a story or joke to tell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Simone; his son Tim and daughter-in-law Heather; daughter Maureen and son-in-law Denis; and his five grandchildren, Justin, Jenny, Joey, Brittany and Corbyn. He is also survived by his brother Joe and sister-in-law Ruth; three nieces, Carolyn, Beverley and Joanne; and one nephew Jeff; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorette, Irene and Ray, Henri and Aline, Yvonne, Yvette, Roger and Cecile; numerous nieces and nephews, friends; and special friends, Jim and Daisy McInnes and their daughters, Linda and Patti. He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Helen Skowronski; his mother and father-in-law Catherine and Adelard Dube; and brother-in-law Louis Dube. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the City of Winnipeg Firefighters, Paramedics and Ambulance services or to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
